PRIVATE RAIN & VEGETABLE GARDEN TOUR Vegetable Gardens at Sharpe & High Gardens
AUGUST 7th 3 to 6 pm 262 Sharpe Street, Strasburg $5/person ALL PROCEEDS benefit Friends of the North Fork of the Shenandoah River UPDATE: WOW! Thank you to everyone who came out to support us on Sunday at our Garden Tour in Strasburg. We raised $175 for Friends of the North Fork of the Shenandoah River plus they got a few new members! We even got on the 11 o'clock news. See here for the video. Walk through Sharpe & High Gardens with Lynne Phillips (Natural Art Garden Center), Scott Edmondson (C&S Landscaping), and homeowners Craig Morris and Mike Marcheterre. Lynne and Scott will talk about their creation of the rain garden as well as the installation of other landscaping and patios. Stroll through the mini-orchard and raised bed vegetable garden. Mike will talk about the vegetables, square-foot gardening, the importance of heirloom seeds, and the plant-to-plate movement. Taste wine at Crossroads Cabin (rear of 262 Sharpe Street) with Tony and Pam Hymes of Mountain View Vineyard, Strasburg. Learn about the important work of Friends of the North Fork.
